When we took on the exterior scope of the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, we had a unique set of challenges in front of us. The facility was occupied and operational, meaning there were many eyes on the project, and we had to navigate unusually restrictive building access and scheduling to prevent disruption. We collaborated closely with Turner Construction on a daily basis to get the job done, with an all-hands-on-deck approach down the home stretch.

Our team took on the design details, the exterior cladding, and a portion of the metal roof, ultimately arriving at a successful, on-time completion. As always at Streimer, success is defined not just by the quality of our workmanship, but also by the safety of the project team — and PeaceHealth was a job well done by all accounts.

The Allison is a luxury resort and spa in Oregon wine country — and when we say luxury, we mean the top choice of visiting celebrities. That means keeping the business running and minimizing disruption are essential.

Streimer originally did the exterior siding more than a decade ago, and over time, the materials failed under the manufacturer's warranty as they delaminated and grew mold between layers. Having a positive client relationship from the previous installation, we were contracted again for the replacement effort. This time, our fabrication shop produced the siding with materials provided by the original manufacturer.

As the self-performing GC on the project, our team worked through 20 different zones one at a time to avoid disturbing guests and limit shutdowns to parts of the hotel. And because of the property's picturesque landscaping, we couldn't use large equipment to access each area, so we relied on scaffolding to tear down and replace a section of siding while erecting more scaffolding in the next zone ahead. In the end, we installed nearly 8,000 panels, and The Allison looks better than ever.

Our team drove the full architectural sheet metal scope of work on PDX Airport’s impressive two-year expansion project. This new home to Southwest Airlines pairs durability with a modern aesthetic. On the exterior, we installed 70,000 ft² of custom aluminum composite paneling and constructed the 48,000 square-foot roof — a built-up system of vapor barriers, code-compliant insulation, and a self-adhered weather barrier covered with standing-seam metal panels.

Enduring high performance continues inside, where we put up 13,000 ft² of concrete-laminated glass fiber TAKTL® panels joined with custom steel. Our team worked alongside more than 2,000 other contributors without disrupting airport operations to get this city milestone to the finish line.
